Our Background

Founded on June 1, 2020, Peace of Mind Charities emerged from a vision of healing in the heart of Las Vegas—a city of vibrant lights and profound disparities. We are a nonprofit collective driven by one purpose: to walk beside individuals during life’s most vulnerable moments, whether they are experiencing homelessness, confronting addiction, or navigating the complexities of mental health.

Our roots are nourished by compassion, equity, and unwavering human dignity. Every initiative, every conversation, and every hand we hold stems from the belief that no one is beyond hope, and everyone deserves a path forward.

A Partner in the Journey

At Peace of Mind Charities, we don’t just provide services—we cultivate resilience. We are allies, educators, advocates, and fellow travelers on the road to recovery. Our programs echo with lived experience, informed professionalism, and fierce commitment to creating systems of care that are just, inclusive, and transformative.

Whether it’s a warm bed on a cold night, a counselor who truly listens, or the simple dignity of being seen and heard, we offer more than support—we offer possibility.

Together, we illuminate the path forward. One person. One story. One step at a time.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

  • Checking and Evaluating: We talk with people to understand their mental health needs. We make sure they are safe and not at risk of harming themselves or others. We check how well they are doing in their personal, social, and work lives.

  • Therapy: We offer one-on-one counseling to help people work through their issues. We have group sessions where people can share and learn from each other. We help families work together to support the person who is in treatment.

  • Teaching Skills: We teach people how to take care of themselves and manage their homes and money. We help them learn how to make friends and avoid problems with others. We help improve how they communicate with others.

  • Helping in Crises: We provide immediate help if someone is in a mental health crisis. We create safety plans to prevent and manage crises.

  • Education and Job Help: We teach skills to help people prepare for jobs. We assist them in finding and keeping a job.

  • Ongoing Help: We coordinate their care to ensure they continue to improve. We check in regularly to make sure they are staying on track.

  • Peer Support: We have people who have been through similar experiences help others by sharing what they have learned. We make sure these helpers are trained and certified.

  • Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting as necessary based on patient response.
